Previous Winners
Dr. Martin Nobar
Martin has played a vital role in several important initiatives, including his work on the Mobile Overdose Prevention Site project at Ridge Meadows Hospital and the development of the Medical Transition Unit—both aimed at improving access, continuity, and compassionate care for some of our most vulnerable patients.
Most recently, he has stepped into the significant role of Emergency Department Head. He couldn’t be here with us, since he’s working in our emerg as we speak.
Congratulations Martin on this well-deserved recognition. We look forward to all that lies ahead in your continued journey.
Dr. Elizabeth Lee
Dr. Lee graduated from UBC Medical school in 2011. She is a specialist in Internal Medicine and nephrology, and subspecialized in dialysis. Elizabeth was nominated for this award by several of her colleagues.
She is hardworking, dedicated, and a team player. She works well with all her colleagues and allied health, and places patient care as a priority, sometimes over her own health.
She has been instrumental in helping advance the RMH Internal Medicine service into the current 2 physician call system, often volunteering to do more than required in order to facilitate creating a better GIM program.
Recently she has also provided Hospitalist coverage, to help facilitate the contract negotiations and help support the Hospitalist service. Her dedication to RMH and to her patients has been unwavering and is highly appreciated.

Dr. Michelle Strovski
Michelle is a respected Urologist and valued member of our Surgery Department here at Ridge Meadows Hospital. She is smart, determined, and deeply committed to her work. As one of the few female urologists in the region, she has quickly made her mark; never hesitating to speak up, ask the hard questions, or challenge the status quo when it comes to improving care for our patients.
Michelle has been instrumental in reviving Grand Rounds at RMH, recognizing the need for stronger physician education and cross-departmental connection. In her role on the MSA & Physician Engagement Society Board, Michelle brings a strong voice and whether she was advocating for physician wellness or taking on broader issues of leadership and accountability, Michelle approaches everything with clarity and persistence.
Dr. Joseph Lee
Joe has been an exemplary leader for our medical staff. He goes above and beyond in his involvement with the MSA and his many Quality Improvement projects.
He is extremely dedicated to the ongoing care and wellbeing of his patients.
We look forward to seeing your career progress at Ridge Meadows Hospital.
